Biography

Taylor Moore is a certified family nurse practitioner and progressive care certified nurse. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Taylor received her Master of Science in nursing leadership and healthcare systems from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, FL. She completed the post-masters certificate program at Sage Graduate School in Troy, NY. Taylor began her studies at The College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, NY, earning her Bachelor of Science in nursing. Taylor is particularly interested in developmental pediatrics, specifically nonverbal learning disabilities, anxiety, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She previously worked with cardiac patients and continues to teach a course on cardiac rhythm interpretation to nurses.

Taylor decided to pursue nursing when she was in high school. Well before that, Taylor’s dad had gotten sick and needed to have a cardiac catheterization. Her aunt worked in the cath lab and brought Taylor around to see all the things that go on in that care area, which is when she really became interested in the medical field. Taylor loves spending time with patients and hearing about their lives. The most important thing she does when caring for patients is to treat them how she would like to be treated herself and how she would like her loved ones to be treated. Taylor believes communication is essential in healthcare, as well as treating patients as a whole. As a family nurse practitioner, her care philosophy is always to be kind, treat others respectfully, listen to their concerns, and preserve their dignity. What brings her the most satisfaction professionally is when she can help patients access resources that they may not have known about previously.

Taylor is originally from Latham, NY. She decided to stay in the area due to the opportunities available within the medical field, with several large hospitals close by and almost all medical specialties. Taylor participates in the Capital Region Heart Walk with the American Heart Association each year. She loves spending time with her husband and two children. They have a turtle pond in their backyard, and she enjoys taking her children to feed the turtles when the weather is nice. Taylor also likes to do crafts and paint garden gnomes in her free time.
