Do You Need Transportation?

If your child has Medicaid, you may be able to get a free Medicab to your child’s appointment. Please call MedAnswering at 866-932-7740 for more information. Keep in mind you will need to call at least 3 days BEFORE your child’s appointment.

If you need help setting up Medicab transportation to your child’s developmental appointment, please contact our office as soon as possible.

Attention Parents:

Please arrive promptly for your scheduled appointment. Late arrivals cause schedule delays for your fellow patients at our office. If you are late to your appointment, we will likely need to reschedule your appointment. We require 24-hour notice for cancellations which must be received during business hours in order to avoid being charged a $200 no-show fee.

Down Syndrome for Parents: Here's What to Know

At CapitalCare Developmental Pediatrics, we wish to help individuals with Down Syndrome to be healthy, productive people using all their gifts and capabilities. Our team will help with the complexities that can go along with Down Syndrome, especially in the medical, emotional, developmental, and educational areas of a person’s life.

Parents, what will the first year of life be like for a baby with Down Syndrome? What kind of support and care do they need? What is it like being a sibling of a child with Down Syndrome? We can help.

You can expect a full explanation in a way families can understand that will help them see the “big picture” when caring for their own child. For more information on what Down syndrome is, the signs of Down Syndrome, and more, visit our education page. Interested families may call for appointments at 518-782-7733. You will be scheduled for an initial assessment and discussion with our care team.
